The old
world is really quite old. Every other town in Europe is packed with
monuments dating back several centuries. Little villages were once the
capitals of a kingdom. The countries are small, but most of them were
once the center of an empire that embraced the whole world.

North
America consists of four countries: the United States of America,
Canada, Mexico and Greenland. Also there is a small self-governing
territory of France, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, located near the south
shore of the Canadian island of Newfoundland.

A region of
many similarities as well as distinct differences, Asia undoubtedly
offers some of the most exciting travel destinations. A wide range of
activities and unique sights can all be had in Asia.

The Middle
East is the cradle of civilization. The people who lived in the valley
of the Tigris and Eufrates and in the Levant were the first to use the
alphabet.

Africa
developed along the banks of the river Nile. From the old Arab cities
of North Africa, through the enormous desert of the Sahara, from the
thick of the jungle to the great Game Parks, Africa offers a huge
diversity of sights for any intrepid traveler. But above all, getting
in contact with the native inhabitants makes it an unforgettable visit.

South
America is a sub-continent crossed by the equator, with most of its
area in the Southern Hemisphere. South America ranks fourth in area and
in population, after Eurasia, Africa, and North America. From the
1530s, the indigenous inhabitants of South America were invaded by
European conquistadors, first from Spain, later from Portugal, who
divided it into colonies. In the course of the 19th century, these
colonies won their independence.

The
countries of Central America are all former spanish colonies, with the
exception of Belize, which was under British rule until 1980. Their
culture is a mixture of Spanish culture with native Indian influences,
and a touch of Carribean flavour.

Doesn't it
dream up images of blue water and wonderful islands? Glistening white
beaches, coconut palms swaying in the breeze, beautiful coral reefs,
rugged volcanic islands rising out of the blue Pacific Ocean.
